For its upcoming edition, FRAGMENTA invited Alexandra Pace to present parts of her research about truth and representation in photography, or rather, the lack of it. Alexandra chose to illustrate this photographs dealing with horse-racing, with particular reference to the photo-finish images that determined the outcome of these races.
For the FRAGMENTA-event entitled Saint-Eloy-Race, on November 29th, we will present a site specific intervention comprising photographs, installations and performative elements. Audience will get insight into the dynamics of race courses, about time and space and the universe, and much more. The fact that Saint Eligius (Saint Eloy), patron saint of horses and those who work with them, has his feast on December 1st, is no coincidence.
In Alexandra Pace’s words: “The game is childish, the stakes are not.”
TIME: Sunday, November 29th, 2015.
Between 12pm and 4pm only.
